Ultrasound Cavitation is not as well known as other fat reduction treatments such as Fat Freezing or Cryolipolysis. So, what is ultrasound cavitation? What can it be used for and why do our clients love it so much?

In this blog post we are going to look at what ultrasound cavitation is and how the treatment can help you.

Cavitation Treatment NewcastleWhat is Ultrasound Cavitation

Ultrasonic cavitation, or ultrasound cavitation, is a cosmetic procedure that’s used to break apart fat deposits in your body. The treatment work as an effective, less invasive alternative to liposuction. The technique uses low frequency ultrasound. The ultrasound waves are conducted through the skin, penetrate directly into the adipose tissue and break it up into small pieces causing micro-bubbles which turn fat into a liquid substance (this phenomenon is called “cavitation”). The liquid is then easily taken out from the body by human’s lymphatic and urinary system. During an Ultrasound Cavitation treatment, a gel is placed onto the area to be treated. This gel acts as a bond between the cavitation hand applicator and the skin, to stop the ultrasound waves being interrupted by air space. The device is moved across your skin in a circular motion for around 20 – 40 minutes (depending on the area being treated).

Most of our clients experience 2 – 5 cm of circumference reduction after a single initial session. This improves with each scheduled visit to our clinic. It is recommend to have 1 session every 72 hours, this ensure the cells do not reabsorb the fat, and that you gain optimal results from treatment. Although this does not mean you will gain the fat back after your treatment finishes. Cavitation is an excellent fat loss treatment, its great for larger areas of fat, such as the stomach, thighs and buttocks.

At RT Aesthetics, we use the latest revolutionary Cavitation technology. We strive to offer our clients only the best fat loss procedures. RT Aesthetics have not stopped there, bringing you 5D Cavitation. This treatment has been proven to be more effective than traditional cavitation.

It is scientifically proven that after a cavitation session, excess fat liquid are drained from that body via the urinary system and no damage is caused to the surrounding organs or tissues. Clients can see an instant result from treatment, with measurements and photos taken before and straight after treatment. Ultrasonic Cavitation has been repeatedly tested for safety and its efficacy to eliminate excess body fat and all studies approve it.

The Benefits
  • Results are often visible right away – sometimes, you can see a difference immediately after your first treatment.
  • The treatment is designed to contour your body, pain free with no downtime required.
  • You can reshape your body, banish cellulite, and feel good in the skin you’re in.
  • Using low-level ultrasonic waves to breakdown fat cells into a liquid while leaving surrounding tissues intact.

Side Effects

There are very few risks associated with this procedure, but that doesn’t mean that there are no side effects. Bruising and pain are common short-term side effects, and some people have loose skin or dimples and waves in their skin after healing from this treatment.

Downtime

Ultrasound cavitation is advertised as being extremely easy with no downtime, as recovery is minimal and side effects are rare. The most time-consuming part of the process might be finding a good aesthetic clinic and practitioner who has experience doing the treatment.

Used in Conjunction With Radio Frequency

Skin tightening treatments are especially popular to combine with ultrasound cavitation treatments. Radio Frequency is a common treatment that most clients combine with cavitation. This helps tighten the skin as inches are lost through fat reduction caused by the cavitation.

When Will I See Results From Cavitation Treatment?

Most clients experience a reduction in circumference after the first session, with increasing results after each visit. The results may vary from person to person with factors such as, tissue structure, treatment area, age, metabolism and medications. Results from the procedure will continue to improve for several weeks following the last treatment session. You will continue to metabolise fat cells for up to twelve weeks, which means that, as most people do not make new fat cells in later life, the loss can be permanent.

Is The Fat Reduction From Cavitation Permanent?

Yes, the fat cells are fractured, broken down and the cells are drained away throughout the lymphatic system. As long as you maintain a healthy lifestyle, drink plenty of water and exercise regularly than your reduction will remain.

How Much Does Cavitation Cost?

5D Cavitation treatment is very affordable, non-invasive treatment for fat loss. We advise that clients have at least 6 sessions to gain optimum results, although some clients may need more or less. During the face-to-face consultation the aesthetic practitioner will discuss all treatments available and design a treatment plan based around your own goals and exceptions. Can I Treat More Than One Area?

No, the body needs to work hard to remove excess fat through the lymphatic system and treating multiple areas is not advised. This can lead to the lymphatic system been overloaded with fat cells, resulting in the fat cells not been removed effectively. RT Aesthetics recommend one area, one treatment every 72 hours and you will see rapid results. If you are unsure what area to treat or what treatment maybe best for you please contact us or book a face-to-face consultation.

Ultrasound Cavitation Aftercare

In order to achieve optimum results from your Ultrasonic Cavitation treatment, we strongly recommend the following:

  • Drink 2 – 3 litres of water daily, keep a large bottle with you at all times and infuse with lemons and limes for flavour. This will flush out the crystallised lipids (dead fat cells) out of your body through the lymphatic system.
  • Follow the diet plan we issue and reduce your intake of alcohol and carbohydrates.
  • Reduce your intake of caffeine to no more than 1 cup a day.
  • Exercise vigorously after treatment to help stimulate lymphatic drainage (the body’s process of the removal of fat).
  • Regular body brushing at home, this is a great way to stimulate the lymphatic system to naturally eliminate the fat cells.
  • Avoid hot baths or showers, steam or heat treatments for 24 hours.
  • Avoid alcohol for 48 – 72 hours.
