  • Exercise minimum of 1 hour per week as this will assist in the metabolism of the dead fat cells and contribute to healthy lifestyle
  • Follow a healthy eating diet plan (we offer these on our website, head over and click ‘Shop’ and then ‘Healthy Eating Plans’) and reduce your intake of alcohol, carbohydrates and caffeine during the treatment program
  • Regular body brushing at home, this is a great way to stimulate the lymphatic system to naturally eliminate the fat cells, do this twice daily for 2 minutes
  • Use the RT Organics Body Sculpt Oil daily when body brushing to help assist the removal of dead fat cells and promote good blood flow
  • Take 2 scoops off RT Aesthetics 20:80 inulin powder daily, mix with any liquid or food
  • Avoid hot baths or showers, steam or heat treatments for 24 hours

Shockwave Treatment For Cellulite

Shockwave works by stimulating the fat break down, collagen synthesis and lymphatic drainage. Shockwave is delivered by placing a probe up against the areas of cellulite, as it passes over the area it emits Radial Waves through the skin. A course of treatment is typically 6-12 individual 15 minute sessions and results are seen as quickly as 2 weeks after starting the course. If you exercise and increase how much water you drink you may see even better results. 90% of women who took part in a clinical study would recommend this treatment.

Powerful shock waves cause fat cells to be mobilised by the body as triglycerides are released and circulate within the body results in the reshape and reduction fat accumulation. Shock waves also act on microcirculation by stimulating tissue oxygenation, as the problem of cellulite stems from fluid retention and fibrosis.

In short, more oxygen in the area allows the removal of toxins and cellulite build up. The treatment is painless and consists of weekly sessions (usually 6 – 8) that are 30-45 minutes long. There are no side effects associated with this procedure and has been clinically proven for its effects.

RT Aesthetics shockwave therapy is delivered by placing a probe up against the areas of cellulite, as it passes over the area it emits radial waves through the skin into the targeted area. The treated cells are then flushed away through the body’s natural removal process (lymphatic system) and continues for up to 3 months after treatment.

more information

Shockwave cellulite therapy consists of high-energy acoustic waves applied to the skin in order to reduce cellulite. This treatment reduces the appearance of cellulite by stimulating cellular metabolism and exchange of blood lipids, inducing the production of new collagen and elastin fibers and stimulating blood and lymph circulation. This results in a more defined and reduction of cellulite appearance and smoother skin.

Acoustic waves are strong, non-focused pulses of sound which generate vibrations. When acoustic waves are directed at problem areas of the skin or tissue, they produce a wide range of positive physiological responses within the body. These changes can lead to improved smoothness, texture, elasticity, and tightening of the skin.

Free fatty acids and glycerol are released from the fat cells and sit in the intercellular space. Natural metabolic systems then remove these waste products from the body. At the same time the sound waves stimulate connective tissue giving the skin a firmer tone and reducing dimples on the skin’s surface.
