Cryolipolysis treatment works by cooling unwanted stubborn fat cells in the body, to temperatures below – 9. This destroys the fat cells by a natural process called apoptosis, in simple terms it causes natural cell death of the fat cells. The surrounding cells are unaffected and unharmed during the Cryolipolysis treatment. The reduction is in the region of 20% – 40% of the fat in the targeted area, per treatment.* We are the only fat freezing clinic in the North to offer advance 360 Cryolipolysis (fat freezing) treatments. Cryolipolysis treatment could help remove between 20% – 45% of stubborn fat cells in the area you have stubborn fat.

Does Fat Freezing work?

Yes, it does. It’s not going to help you lose 14 stone in a day (see Peter Kay’s routine!). But it’s super effective at removing inches in the places that seem to cling to excess fat.

Why do other clinics charge a lot less?

We can’t comment on how other clinics price their treatments, but rest assured our team is fully qualified and insured. Our machine is top notch, its serviced and maintained regularly. Meaning we provide the safest and highest quality treatments, every time! But most importantly, you get the results you’ve always dreamed of!

Where does the fat go?

Fatigue cells become inflamed through fat freezing, and your body sends out specialised cells that gradually digest the affected fat cells. Lipids from the fat cells are slowly released and transported by the lymphatic system to be processed and eliminated, reducing fat. Fat cells are flushed out of the body as urine; drinking lots of water after your treatment is essential.

Can I combine Cryolipolysis with the BTL Exilis Ultra 360?

Yes! Cryolipolysis is a different treatment from the BTL Exilis Ultra 360. The Exilis treatment stimulates collagen production, tightens skin, and helps liquidate fat cells deep under the skin layer. This treatment has proven results, which can be found in all our body transformation packages.

Do I need to rest after Cryolipolysis treatment?

No, the great thing about Cryolipolysis treatment is that you can go about your day as normal straight after treatment. However, RT Aesthetics advises that you increase your water intake by 2 – 3 litres per day, practice regular body brushing and follow all aftercare advice. This will help flush out the dead fat cells through the lymphatic system and improve your health and well-being.

How long should I wait after childbirth to have Cryolipolysis?

You must wait for a minimum of 6 months after your baby’s expected birth or a minimum of 12 months after a C-section. It is best to get GP approval post-childbirth before commencing treatment. If you have any questions or concerns regarding this, please get in touch with us, and we will be more than happy to assist.

How soon can I see results from Cryolipolysis?

You may see results after four weeks. However, the full results will be seen after 6 – 12 weeks. Therefore, we request that you return 6 weeks after your appointment for a follow-up appointment and then again at week 12 for a final measure and photo if appropriate. All follow-up appointments are free of charge and form part of your aftercare.

How long will my results last from Cryolipolysis?

Your results will last permanently if you eat healthily and stick to an exercise plan. That’ll prevent your body from storing new fat.

What happens during Cryolipolysis treatment?

After your face-to-face consultation, and measurements and before treatment photos have been taken, you will have a cooling membrane (which looks like a big wet wipe) placed onto the treated area. Next, the 360 fat freezing applicators are placed onto the treatment area, suction is applied, and the stubborn fat is sucked into the applicator. Next, the applicator begins to cool to the desired temperature of below -9 degrees. Cushions are then placed around the applicator to keep it in place before the suction pressure is reduced for the remainder of the treatment. You can then enjoy the rest of the 45 – 60 minute treatment, for example, reading a book or magazine, listening to music, catching up on your favourite Netflix series, and enjoying a rare opportunity for some peace and quiet. The device will be removed at the end of the treatment, and a massage of the area will complete the treatment.

Does fat freezing have side effects?

There’s little chance of anything going wrong, but you can experience the following side effects: redness, numbness, soreness, bruising, tingling and slight swelling. Most of these disappear within a few days, but the numbness can linger for around two months.

Will fat freezing work on loose skin?

Unfortunately, Cryolipolysis is not designed to tighten loose or stretched skin. However, we can still help! Depending on where the loose skin is located and how much requires treatment, we have two non-invasive treatments available. The first is Radio Frequency (BTL Exilis Ultra 360), and the second is High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound (MED: HIFU Ultra). Both treatments cause tightening of the skin and lead to the reduction of excess skin. If you want more information, please contact us for more details.
