How Much Does Emerald Laser Cost in the UK?
At our Newcastle clinic, a course of Emerald Laser costs from £1,850 for the double chin and from £2,500 for a body area, with every session including a lymphatic drainage treatment in the Body Ballancer suit. Here is what those figures cover, why Emerald is priced as a course rather than per session, and how to compare quotes from different clinics without being caught out.
Emerald Laser prices at RT Aesthetics

That works out at between £210 and £250 a session for a body area, and the fifteen-session course is the better value per session if your assessment suggests you will need it. The assessment itself is free.
Why it is sold as a course
Emerald is a low-level, non-thermal laser. Ten green lasers pass over the treatment area for around thirty minutes, opening pores in the fat cells so their contents drain and are cleared by the lymphatic system. Nothing is heated or frozen, there is no pain and no downtime, and that is exactly why it takes repetition to work. One session does very little on its own. The results in the clinical studies come from courses: the study most often quoted showed an average of six inches of circumferential loss across ten treatments, twice a week over five weeks.
Sessions can be booked up to twice a week with at least 48 hours between them, so a ten-session course takes five to eight weeks and a fifteen-session course eight to twelve. Most people see the first change within two to four weeks of starting.
What is included in the price
Every Emerald session at RT Aesthetics is an hour, and half of it is spent in the Body Ballancer, a compression suit that gives a lymphatic drainage massage to the legs, hips and stomach. Emerald releases fat into the lymphatic system, and the drainage helps move it along, so we treat the two as one appointment rather than selling the second as an add-on. A take-home aftercare kit is included in our packages.

How to compare Emerald Laser quotes
Three things are worth checking before you compare one clinic's price with another's.
First, ask for the price of the full course, not the session. A low per-session figure means little if the clinic recommends twelve sessions and yours recommends ten. Second, ask whether lymphatic drainage is included, and how. Some clinics charge for it separately, some skip it, and it makes a difference to what you get out of each session. Third, ask what device it is. Emerald is made by Erchonia and is the only laser fat-loss device with FDA market clearance for people with a BMI of up to 40. Other green and red low-level lasers exist and are sometimes described loosely as the same thing. They are not, and they should not be priced as if they were.
Is it worth it compared with fat freezing?
It depends on what you are treating. Fat freezing is better for a single, firm, pinchable pocket, and it is usually cheaper because one or two sessions can be enough. Emerald suits fat that is spread across an area rather than sitting in a pocket, people who cannot have fat freezing, and anyone with a higher BMI, where it is often the only non-surgical option that is cleared for use.
