HIFU Face Lift

HIFU, also known as High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound is an advanced non-surgical cosmetic procedure.

HIFU can significantly tighten and lift several areas of the face, neck, chin, jawline and jowls.

HIFU helps to tighten the face and neck, reduce the signs of ageing and improve the complexation of the skin in a single treatment session. Results from HIFU can be potentially long-lasting, although your aesthetic clinic will go through this with you at your consultation appointment. See a list of medical research supporting the effects of in our resources tab or search HIFU case studies.

HIFU Face Lifting

Lifting Facial HIFU treatment is unique in its ability to penetrate the dermis and the superficial muscular aponeurotic system (SMAS) layer. This is the deep layers within the skin. This technology is unique to target these deep layers within the skin in a non-invasive way. SMAS is the same layer which is tightened during conventional facelift surgery. Unlike surgery, HIFU is more affordable, requires no time off work and is virtually-pain free.

One session of HIFU will deliver visible effects in lifting and tightening of the face, neck and jowls. It will also create new collagen which will help your skin maintain its youthful glow and texture. The HIFU lift procedure individually targets the brow, jowl and neck lifting, as well as overall skin tightening and rejuvenation. You will see a noticeable improvement in facial contouring, fine lines and wrinkles.

The key advantages of HIFU treatment are:

  • Stimulates natural collagen production
  • No cuts to the skin
  • No recovery time
  • Noticeable results
  • Once per year treatment

HIfU Facelift

HIFU uses focused ultrasound energy to target the layers of skin just below the surface. The ultrasound energy causes the tissue to heat up rapidly. Once the cells in the targeted area reach a certain temperature, they experience cellular damage. While this may seem counterintuitive, the damage actually stimulates the cells to produce more collagen — a protein that provides structure to the skin.

The increase in collagen results in tighter, firmer skinTrusted Source with fewer wrinkles. Since the high-frequency ultrasound beams are focused on a specific tissue site below the skin’s surface, there’s no damage to the upper layers of the skin and adjacent issue.

Ultherapy Face Lift

Ultherapy is the only non-invasive treatment cleared by the FDA for lifting the skin on the neck, chin, and brow, and improving lines and wrinkles on the décolletage.1 Ultherapy uses micro-focused ultrasound to lift and tighten loose skin over time, without any downtime.

How does Ultherapy differ from laser treatments? Ultherapy uses sound energy — tried-and-true ultrasound — which has unique properties that allow it to bypass the surface of the skin to treat depths not matched by any other non-invasive cosmetic device. Ultherapy ultrasound stimulates collagen production in the skin’s foundation, resulting in a clinically significant lift of tissue over two to three months.5 Some lasers rely on light energy, which cannot reach deeper skin layers.6 Typically, laser treatments also only treat superficial skin and are not FDA-cleared to lift skin.
