What is EMSculpt Neo?
EMSculpt Neo is a non-invasive treatment for fat reduction and muscle toning. EMSculpt Neo builds on its predecessor – EMSculpt – to utilise both radio frequency and high-intensity electromagnetic (HIFEM+) energies to simultaneously eliminate fat and build muscle.
How does EMSculpt Neo work?
EMSculpt Neo will consist of four 30-minute treatments, scheduled 5-10 days apart. During the treatment, radio frequency and high-intensity electromagnetic energies are applied to the targeted area via an applicator, which can be nearly anywhere on the body, including thighs, upper arms, the stomach, and the hips. EMSculpt Neo uses smaller applicators that can be applied to more targeted areas that couldn’t be treated with previous versions of the treatment.
The radio frequency works by heating up the muscles, similar to how you might warm up before a work out. It prepares the muscles for exposure to stress, so they are more receptive to the treatment. In less than four minutes, the optimum temperature is reached for fat cells to be permanently damaged, which allows the body to remove them through normal metabolic processes.
The HIFEM+ energy works by contracting the fibres of the muscles, similar to working out but at a much higher intensity that’s not achievable through exercise. This extreme stress causes the muscles to adapt by increasing the muscle fibres and cells, resulting in increased muscle volume.
