Inner Thigh Fat Treatment in Newcastle

Inner thigh fat is the soft area between the legs that rubs, chafes and stops jeans sitting right, and it is one of the areas people most want gone and least often shift on their own. The inner thigh is a genetic fat store, particularly for women, so it fills early and empties late, and no amount of leg work reduces the fat sitting on top of the muscle. At our clinic in Whickham, Newcastle, it is one of the most common areas we treat with fat freezing, and one of the best responders, because the fat is soft and pinchable and the applicator sits on it well.

Fat or skin?

Two different things get called inner thigh fat. One is a pocket of fat you can pinch, which responds to fat freezing or Emerald Laser. The other is skin that has lost its firmness and hangs slightly, common after weight loss or with age, which responds to Exilis and not to fat removal at all. Many people have both, and treating only the fat on skin that is already loose leaves the thigh looking emptier rather than smoother. Working out which you have is the first thing we do at the free assessment.

Fat freezing

A 360 applicator on each inner thigh cools the fat cells until they die off, and the body clears them over six to twelve weeks. Both inner thighs count as two areas: £450 for a single session or £1,199 for a course of three. See fat freezing in Newcastle.

Exilis Ultra Body

For inner thighs where the skin has loosened, Exilis Ultra Body uses radiofrequency and ultrasound to tighten the skin while reducing some of the fat beneath it: £1,285 for a course of four sessions on both thighs, and it combines well with fat freezing where there is a pocket as well as laxity.

Emerald Laser

For fat across the whole thigh rather than one pocket, a higher BMI, or anyone who would rather avoid the cold, Emerald Laser treats both thighs in each session over a course of ten at £2,500, with a Body Ballancer lymphatic drainage treatment included every time.

What to expect

Your assessment is free and there is no obligation. Your practitioner measures the thighs, checks the skin and how the fat sits, and sets out the number of sessions and the full price before anything is booked. Fat freezing on both inner thighs takes about an hour; the area feels cold for the first few minutes and then numb, and you can read or scroll until it is done. You drive home afterwards with no time off work. We book you back in at six and twelve weeks to measure and photograph the area, and we price match like-for-like clinic treatments.

Results and how long they last

Fat freezing results show from about four weeks and are complete at six to twelve weeks, with a reduction in the region of 20% to 40% of the fat in the treated area per session. Removed fat cells do not come back; the remaining ones can still enlarge if your weight goes up, so the result lasts as long as your weight stays roughly steady. Exilis results build through the course and are kept up with a top-up session between six and twelve months.

Safety

Fat freezing, Exilis, Emerald Laser and EMSculpt Neo are non-invasive, CE-marked treatments with no needles and nothing injected. Side effects are temporary: redness, tenderness, mild swelling and, after fat freezing, a numb patch that can take around two months to fade, plus a rare risk of the treated fat becoming firmer rather than smaller, which we explain before you book.
