The Benefits of Non-Invasive 3D Lipo Cavitation

Many of us will have tried to shift a few stubborn pounds at some point in our lives – but sometimes hitting the gym and watching what you eat just doesn’t seem to cut it.

If any of the stories about the side effects of surgical liposuction you heard make you anxious, you’re not alone.

Though undeniably there are a lot of people who have the traditional liposuction every year, it is still regarded as an invasive procedure that requires inserting an instrument under your skin to suck out unwanted fat.

What is 3D-Lipo Cavitation?

3D-Lipo is a non-surgical approach to liposuction which is powerful enough to reduce body fat by destroying fat cells. The treatment comprises of four different options and methods used to destroy fat cells and improve the appearance of problem areas:

  • Cavitation
  • Cryolipolysis for fat reduction
  • Radio Frequency for skin tightening
  • Dermatology for cellulite reduction

Combing these treatments will result in less fat, tighter skin and less cellulite in the treated areas.

Cryolipolysis occurs when the fat cells are frozen by the extreme cold which destroys them so that they can then be removed naturally by the kidneys in the weeks after the treatment.

Regular liposuction uses a pen-like medical instrument or cannula, which is used to suction out the fat from under your skin. However, with Lipo Cavitation there is no invasive prodding, or injecting, as a professional technician uses an ultrasound device to perform the procedure.

What happens during the procedure?

As part of the procedure, a small amount of gel is applied to the skin where the excess fat needs to be removed, the ultrasound device is then applied to the area for the 20-30 minute treatment session.

It’s a completely painless outpatient procedure that doesn’t require anaesthesia and has only a few known negative side effects.

Cavitation Treatment

How Does Cavitation Work?

Ultrasound Cavitation Lipo uses ultrasound techniques to break up fat cells, turning them into a liquid that can then be carried away as waste. Cavitation is used to achieve inch loss by targeting pockets of stubborn fat.

Radio Frequency selectively heats skin tissues which can cause collagen fibres to contract to produce new collagen – designed to provide tighter looking skin.

3D Dermology and Radio Frequency can then be used to drain away useless fat cells through the lymphatic system by using special vacuum suction and rollers.

The ultrasound device, a transducer, which is employed in Lipo Cavitation procedures, is designed to only target fat cells. When the ultrasonic waves blast the area of fatty tissue you want to remove, they create irreversible damage to the fat cell membranes and no other surrounding tissue is affected.

During the noninvasive procedure, the ultrasonic waves break down fat cells causing them to release triglycerides and other fatty substances, which during the week following the cavitation treatment are processed by your body through normal physiological processes.

How Many Cavitation Treatments Are Needed?

Clients who chose to have Lipo Cavitation are able to see visible reductions in fat in the first week, and a treatment schedule of 10 to 20 weekly sessions will typically help you achieve the desired weight and inch loss.

Before your first treatment, you’ll meet with your doctor for a physical exam and consultation.

In most cases, the ideal candidate for Lipo Cavitation is someone moderately active and a healthy eater. Lipo Cavitation is not intended to treat morbid obesity but works most effectively to remove unwanted fat from targeted areas of the body.

As a candidate for lipo cavitation, your doctor will discuss your goals and what results you are likely to achieve and set up a treatment plan tailor-made to your needs.

What Areas of the Body Can be Treated?

Lipo Cavitation is similar to liposuction in terms of the areas of the body where it can be used and can be applied to various areas of the body, typically:

  • Upper & Lower Abdomen
  • Face, Forehead & Brow Lift
  • Neck & Jowls
  • Back & Bra Fat
  • Cheeks, Jawline & Face
  • Inner & Outer Thighs
  • Double Chin
  • Waist & Hips
  • Upper & Lower Arms
  • Buttocks
  • Reduce Excess Breast Tissue in Overweight Men.

What to do Before and After Cavitation Treatment?

Before Lipo Cavitation, you should already be moderately active and eat a healthy diet. During the face to face consultation the practitioner will go through this with you.

In the week before a treatment session, most doctors will recommend that, in preparation, patients drink about 8 glasses of water a day, avoid alcohol, and tanning. It’s important to follow these recommendations because adequate fluids are needed to help your body process the excess fat and triglycerides that will be released as a result of the procedure.

Too much alcohol will limit liver function needed to process these substances, and tanning prior to treatment can make your skin ultra-sensitive to the ultrasonic waves used in the treatment.

After treatment, you should continue to drink adequate amounts of water and get regular exercise to help your body process the excess triglycerides and fatty substances released during the procedure.

What are the Side Effects of Cavitation Treatment?

The known side effects of 3D Lipo Cavitation are minimal, compared to surgical liposuction. For most people, the treatment is painless and doesn’t require any recovery time.

You may experience temporary skin sensitivity, mild bruising, fluid buildup, or blisters where the transducer was used.
